SHI Tenders Offer to Buy HIT

Sumitomo Heavy Industries has tendered an offer to purchase Hansen Industrial Transmissions per this press release. The two companies' products compliment each other very well and the synergies in technology, global presence, expanded resources and product range will position Hansen to better serve customers here in the Americas and throughout the world.

By August 16, Hansen Industrial Transmissions Canada will have completed its move to new headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario. Situated near the airport, this new, larger facility will allow Hansen Industrial Transmissions Canada to continue its commitment to continuous improvement in customer service and engineering assistance.

Hansen Industrial Transmissions welcomes Peter Panik as District Sales Manager for Western Canada. Peter has a Mechanical Engineering degree, as well as a multitude of accredited certificates related to our industry.

Hansen Industrial Transmissions is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with Delom Services for Quebec and the Maritime provinces. Groupe Delom will work as an extension of Hansen Industrial Transmissions Canada to provide local support for our growing distribution and customer base.

Hansen Industrial Transmissions returned this week to the 12th annual Electric Power Conference and Exhibition in Baltimore, Maryland for another successful show.

Hansen Industrial Transmissions participated at Coal Prep for the first time this year. The show was sold out with 245 exhibitors. Hansen Industrial Transmissions' strong presence in the mining industry contributed to a strong interest from both attendees and fellow exhibitors. Inquiries were received from Virginia to California.
