Water Treatment Applications

Aerators. Robust sealing renders Hansen industrial gearboxes impervious to water, dust and sludge, while a dry-well design ensures an oil-tight low-speed shaft. An extended bearing span and rigid housing deliver optimum stability under angular and thrust loads. The standard Hansen Industrial Transmissions painting system is specifically designed to handle extreme conditions.
Screw Pumps. Specially designed sealing and lubrication systems allow Hansen industrial gearboxes to drive screw pumps at angles ranging 30 to 40 degrees. Parallel and right-angle versions are available with back-stops to prevent water from back-driving the pump. A V-belt drive with guard typically connects the motor to the transmission's high-speed shaft.
Brush Aerators. Hansen industrial gearboxes for brush aerators combine a right-angle configuration and a rigid weatherproof lantern housing to position the motor away from water. Single and double low-speed shaft extensions are available to drive one or two brushes. Extended service piping allows oil refills and maintenance to be performed from a service platform.
