Pulp & Paper Applications

Wood Handling. Conveyor, debarking drum, and chip reclaimer drives must withstand extreme conditions. Options for hollow shafts, cooling systems, lubrication systems, back-stops and motor mounts easily accessorize Hansen industrial gearboxes to meet your needs.
Pumps. Vacuum, centrifugal and head-box feed pumps benefit from a new range of single-stage Hansen industrial gearboxes. To better accommodate the shaft heights of IEC electric motors, Hansen Industrial Transmissions single-stage units can be mounted with shafts horizontal or vertical.
Pulp Processing. Cooking, washing/bleaching and chemical recovery machinery all benefit from Hansen Industrial Transmissions' dry-well and split housing design, which eliminates the risk of process contamination. A variety of bearing and shaft configurations make Hansen industrial gearboxes tolerant to severe loads and shocks on the low-speed shaft without sacrificing operating life.
Paper Machinery. The precision-ground and hardened gears of Hansen industrial gearboxes deliver speed and precision with low noise for applications such as roll, finishing and dryer section drives. For dryer section applications, torque arm-type mounts are available, while single-stage products meet the needs of high-speed/low-torque equipment.
Recycling. An oil-to-water lubrication/cooling system, labyrinth seals, and heavy-duty bearings specially adapt Hansen industrial gearboxes for pulper drive duty. For dewatering press drives, Hansen Industrial Transmissions can supply a ready-to-install drive package that includes gear unit, drive motor, V-belt transmission with guard, cooling/lubrication system and low-speed coupling.
