In Gear for Your Success

Selecting a transmission: it's more than just matching specs. Hansen delivers everything else you would expect—applications expertise, regional support, diagnostics/maintenance and engineering services.

Wind Turbines from Hansen Transmissions answer the need for minimal maintenance, long service life and environmental tolerance. Models are available for drop-in installation in kW and MW wind turbines.

Food Processing Equipment such as digesters, screw presses and kernel expellers require substantial torque. Hansen gear units deliver 35% more torque compared to market equivalents, incorprate a drywell to prevent oil leakage, and larger units can be serviced in place.

Mixers & Agitators place special demands on transmissions that vary widely with application. Practically any combination of mixer shaft length, sustained/peak torque duty, overhung load, material thickness, and vapor/dust tolerance can be accommodated by Hansen Transmissions.

Material Handling Applications demand a high level of configurability from transmissions. A broad selection of mounting options, environmental ratings, shaft orientations and torque ratings make Hansen the transmission of choice for conveyor, travel drives, bucket elevators, hoists and winches.

Mining is one of the most punishing applications for a transmission due to airborne particulate and shock loads. Self-aligning UniMiner transmissions install rapidly, use a patented positive-lubrication technology, and have seals that are replaceable without removing couplings.

Cooling Towers favor Hansen Transmissions on account of their quiet operation, large-diameter slow-speed shaft (to reduce bending stresses), and rigid monoblock design.

Forest Product industries present the entire range of drive applications, from wood chipping and pulping to pumping and dewatering. Hansen Transmission meets all these needs with a variety ratings and options, plus provisions for chemical tolerance and process purity.
